The 24-year-old star is set to appear in scenes with her dad Danny Dyer as she plays taxi driver Jeanette, who goes into labour while taking Mick Carter to his wife Linda's (Kellie Bright's) baby scan.

Asked about her future as an actress, she said: "I've always loved acting, it's so much fun to do.

"So I would definitely like to pursue more, but I think we just have to see what the future holds..."

The 'Love Island' star - who has appeared in a number of independent films over the years - loved stepping onto the BBC soap's set, although it's something she'd already experienced.

Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she explained: "My dad's given me a tour before, so it wasn't such a shock to me.

"But it's crazy the way it's filmed, and Albert Square is much smaller in real life."

Despite seeing dad Danny on the show since 2013, there was still a real buzz getting to have her own moment in front of the camera.

Dani added: "I was really excited! I've always been such a massive fan of the show, and I watch it every night, so to be a part of it was such an amazing opportunity.

"Me and my dad work very well together - we do our podcast ['Sorted With The Dyers'], and that's always such a laugh.

"So to be acting alongside him was really fun, and made it a lot easier for me."

She's shared the screen with her dad in the past in his 2006 movie 'The Other Half', 2009's 'Doghouse' - which also featured 'Line of Duty' stars Stephen Graham and Lee Ingleby - 2012's 'Run For Your Wife' and 2013 film 'Vendetta'.

And her upcoming soap role comes after she previously admitted she had been rejected from the soap.

Speaking in August 2018, she said: "I don’t know about 'EastEnders', they wouldn’t let me in it.

"I think it’s because my dad is already on it so if I went on it there would be a massive outrage."
