The upcoming reality show - which pits real and fake couples against each other for a cash prize - will see the 23-year-old presenter back on the network as the host, while the 'EastEnders' actor will provide the voiceover for the series.

The programme - which will air every night for two weeks - will see six loved-up pairs at a mansion in Italy under the impression they're competing to be crowned The Perfect Couple and take home £50,000.

However, among them are fake couples who have never been in a relationship together, and whose role it is to try to steal the money for themselves.

Every episode, the stars will vote out one couple, with the prize fund growing by £10,000 if they manage to kick out the liars.

Maya said: "I'm so excited to be hosting my very own show on MTV this summer!

"It was so fun to film. There were some amazing couples with incredible love stories in there, And some seriously good liars so get involved and play along!"

The couples will compete in daily games designed to test their romance, give an insight into everyone else's relationship and give them the chance to prove they're the so-called Perfect Couple.

The liars' identity will be kept hidden from the other fake couples, the genuine lovebirds, the viewers and even hosts Maya and Danny, whose daughter Dani has made waves on the current series of ITV dating show 'Love Island'.

'True Love or True Lives?' premieres on MTV on Monday August 6 at 9pm, and continues nightly for the following two weeks.
