The 53-year-old actor - who is known for playing Daz Spencer in the long-running soap - landed himself in hot water last week when he appeared to let slip a major detail of the kidnap storyline on national television but, after joking that he hoped he "still had a job" after the blunder, it looks like he may have infuriated bosses once again as he seemingly confirmed on social media that the school girl had plotted her own disappearance.

A fan - who goes by the handle RockgirlFiona - praised Mark on Twitter for his impressive acting on screen before divulging what she thought had actually happened to Amelia.

She wrote: "Great acting from @JoepopProds tonight this explains his PTSD , as for the supposed kidnapping of Amelia she didn't look very traumatised why do I get the impression that she arranged the kidnapping to get back at her family for arguing (sic)"

To which Mark replied: "Nice work Fiona (sic)," followed by two clapping emojis.

Amelia has been missing since she found out her uncle Daz was actually her biological father - not Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) who had brought her up for the last 12 years.

But, three weeks after her disappearance, the young girl was seen on screen for the first time this week when it emerged that she had been staying with a girl called Beth.

Not much is known about Beth at the moment but it's believed she has some connection to Daz's past as he recently revealed that he'd killed a man while he was in the army.

Regardless of what her link is to Daz, it seems Amelia isn't worried about her future as she was seen smiling at Beth and looking cosy on her sofa after she returned to the flat.
