Actress Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva, is set to finally bow out of the soap after a dramatic double bill focused on the inquest into the suicide of Aidan Connor, the father of her baby Susie.

Aidan's family will be shocked as Eva makes a surprise return to the cobbles for the inquest but it is the final chance for them to make peace with each other.

Speaking previously, Catherine said: "It kind of brings a unity and peace for good with Eva and the Connors.

"She says to them: 'Look, I want Susie to know who her father was and I want her to know her family, so you must come and visit me'. So that's really nice."

And viewers are set to find out what lies ahead for Eva and her partner Adam Barlow, who had promised to move to France with her to raise baby Susie.

As upcoming promos for the soap show Adam back working at the solicitor's office in Weatherfield, it is unclear if the pair are set for a happy ending.

Meanwhile, Catherine recently revealed it was a difficult decision to move on from 'Corrie', and she made sure to make the most of every moment in the company of her co-stars and the soap's crew before her departure.

She said: "It's surreal. I just feel like I'm trying to absorb everyone more than ever. Everyone that I'm seeing I'm like, 'Hi! Tell me about your day.' And just trying to get every last bit of it in, because I love it here, it's not that I'm unhappy.

"The people are just wonderful, so it's going to be really emotional."
