The BBC are set to air 'Eurovision: You Decide', hosted by Mel Giedroyc, which will be broadcast live from the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, London on February 26.

Mel said: "I am a huge fan of 'Eurovision' and am honoured to be hosting this fantastic event. It's very exciting that the great British public will get the chance to choose who will be sent to Sweden and I know it's going to be an amazing night."

It has been six years since a similar format was used to decide which act would represent the United Kingdom at the annual competition, which will be held in Sweden this year.

The six shortlisted contestants, who have not yet been named, are set to perform in front of a panel of judges as they try to secure the most public votes.

Meanwhile, Graham Norton, who presents the UK coverage of the 'Eurovision' final, previously revealed it was the "icing on the cake" that the British public got a final say on the contestant chosen to represent their country.

He said: "'Eurovision' is one of the highlights of my year. I love the fact the BBC is launching its biggest song search ever.

"It really shows they take the competition seriously and the fact that the public will get the final say on who is sent to represent the UK is the icing on the cake."
