The 'Coronation Street' actress has said farewell to the cobbles after four years as Kate Connor, and while it was emotional filming her final scenes on Friday (19.07.19), she's still looking forward to what comes next.

She wrote on Instagram: "Cannot put into words how I felt filming my last few episodes as Kate Connor @coronationstreet But all I can say is that there was a lot of love in the room that day...

"It's always sad to say goodbye, But when a chapter ends another story begins & I'm so exited about what's to come ... Nevertheless I will miss playing that feisty Connor but I'll cherish every second spent with my Corrie Family.

"The challenges I faced, the experiences I had, the lessons I learnt, the People I met, the laughs, the hugs & even the tears. All I have to say is Bring it On! See you all on the other side Thank you... Next (sic)"

Meanwhile, her co-star Kym Marsh (Michelle Connor) has opened up about saying "goodbye" to her former cast mate, and she revealed they have vowed to "stay in touch" even though they won't be working together.

She wrote in her OK! magazine column: "Last week I also said goodbye to my co-star Faye Brookes, who has now filmed her final scenes at 'Corrie'.

"We play cousins and have worked closely together for a long time, so I'm sad to see her go but we've promised we'll stay in touch."

Faye's last day of filming comes after she recently confirmed she had landed a role in the panto production of 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'.

Posting the news on Instagram last month, she said: "Here it is... the official announcement of @brumhippodrome Panto 2019
