Priya is acting as an assistant to returning soap super-bitch Kim Tate (Claire King) and her right hand man Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) at Home Farm and she can't wait to see if the writers involve her alter ego in their villainery and skulduggery.

When asked if Priya will be going to the dark side of the village, she said: "I hope so! I like playing Priya when she's got a bit of an edge, everybody likes playing a baddie, so we'll see."

Fiona is really enjoying the new storyline for her character because it has given her a new lease of life away from the Sharma family's sweet factory business.

Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the ITV Palooza event in London on Tuesday night (16.10.18), she said: "There's a lot more coming up for Priya, she's working with the Tates now and there's always going to be drama there ... I am quite enjoying having Priya in a different space to the factory, she's enjoying being an assistant to the Tates. I like her platonic relationship with Graham, I think it's quite funny because Priya is so fun and upbeat and Graham is just always in his own world and that's been great fun to play with Andrew."

And Fiona admits it's been a wonderful experience to get to work with Claire, 55, because she was such a fan of the evil character Kim when she watched her first stint on 'Emmerdale' between 1989 and 1999.

Fiona said: "It's wonderful having Kim Tate back, I was very excited because I watched her when I was a child and she was in 'Emmerdale' so it's great to now be working with her."
