Marvel fans are about to get very excited, as the first official trailer for upcoming collaboration series The Defenders has been revealed, giving everybody their first look at the upcoming superhero team-up. Bringing Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist together, the Netflix original series is sure to make history. Check out the new trailer below, as it’s declared ‘The war for New York is here’:
The series comes following the success that each individual hero has seen with their own shows, and brings Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Danny Rand aka Iron Fist back to the small screen.
Additional cast includes Sigourney Weaver as the villainous Alexandra, Elodie Yung as Elektra, Scott Glenn as Stick, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker, Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse, Simone Missick as Misty Knight and Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing.
The Defenders is executive produced with Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb by Marco Ramirez and doug Petrie, produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.
The Defenders premieres globally with all episodes available on August 18, 2017 at 12:01am PT.
