The 32-year-old pop star - whose husband Wayne Bridge finished fifth in the programme's 16th series in 2016 - is just 4/1 with bookmaker Ladbrokes to be named Queen of the Castle next month.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "Frankie Bridge has said she can see herself quitting, but the odds tell a completely different story, with punters seemingly convinced at this point that she's the one to beat."

But Frankie looks set to face stiff competition from a trio of soap stars.

Coronation Street's Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald), Emmerdale's Danny Miller (Aaron Dingle) and 'EastEnders' star Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale) are next in the betting at 9/2, 11/2 and 6/1 respectively.

That is despite Simon and Adam not being named in the initial 10 contestants confirmed to start the show on Sunday (21.11.21).

Of those who will be inside Gwrych Castle, north Wales, for the start of the new series this weekend, Louise Minchin is the next in the betting at 7/1.

She is the last of the single-figure odds, as former Premier League footballer David Ginola and ex-'This Morning' presenter Richard Madeley are both 10/1 shots.

Other long shots include Paralympian Kadeena Cox and music producer Naughty Boy, who are both 16/1, as is Olympic diver Matty Lee.

The two bigger outsiders are radio DJ Snoochie Shy at 20/1, and despite being the first dame on the show, former 'Strictly Come Dancing' judge Dame Arlene Phillips is not fancied to take the crown as she is priced at a big 25/1.
