The 40-year-old reality star had been learning to ride along with fiancé Rami Hawash and her stepson Tristan and took to Instagram to tell her 2.2m followers of how she was determined to "master" the skill.

Alongside a video which showed footage of the fall, she wrote: "Giddy up GC. Im not giving up guys i know I will master this I can’t wait to continue with my lessons it’s nice to have hobbies and again be out amongst nature" (sic)

The former 'TOWIE' star had initially altered her fans to the incident in a previous Instagram post, promising that she had captured the fall on video.

She said: "Guys, we're at the stables today - I've got Rami up on a horse. I've just fallen off the horse - I've got the video footage - but I'm going to get back on, you know me."

Gemma - who originally dated businessman Rami, 46, from 2011 to 2014 before rekindling a relationship with him in 2021

- previously gushed about how "happy" she is in her personal life.

Speaking on the Secure the Insecure podcast, she said: "We’re so happy, I’ve got a little step son now and I’ve got a really good balance. It’s not all work, I’ve got a great personal life and please God, we go on to have a baby next year, when I’ve got some time – to do what you need to do to have a baby, because I’ve not had much time recently. Sorry, Ram! I feel like I’ve got my family now, my own family and we’re gonna be becoming a family and it’s kind of been the best year of my life really."
