Ahead of the premiere of Black Mirror season 3 exclusively on Netflix tomorrow (October 21), the streaming service have this week debuted a brand new featurette for the series which allows viewers to go into the world of the show.
Creator and writer Charlie Brooker speaks in the video about how the show makes you at first feel like you're in "familiar territory" before completely flipping that on its head.
As an anthology series, the show is able to cover many different genres and tones, and whilst it takes place in a fantasy world, there are such moments of bleakness and relatability that it leaves the viewer feeling a little uneasy, but always utterly intrigued.
This new third season features an all-star cast, including Bryce Dallas Howard, Alice Eve, James Norton, Cherry Jones, Wyatt Russell, Alex Lawther, Jerome Flynn, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mackenzie Davis, Michael Kelly, Malachi Kirby, Kelly McDonald, Faye Marsay and many other big names.
Directing comes from Joe Wright, Dan Trachtenberg, James Watkins, Owen Harris, Jacob Verbruggen and James Hawes, with Rashida Jones and Michael Schur serving as writers on the episode 'Nosedive'.
Alongside Brooker, Annabel Jones serves as co-showrunner and executive producer.
