Hap and Leonard is a brand new television series coming to Amazon Prime, based on the novels by Joe Lansdale of the same name.
The official synopsis for the show reads: "Hap Collins is a white working class labourer who spent time in federal prison as a young man for refusing to be drafted into the military and serve in the Vietnam War. With Leonard, the two work for the former police officer turned private investigator Marvin Hanson. Hap tries his best to avoid violence, as he is not as quick to anger as Leonard, he often finds himself attempting to talk Leonard out of committing serious violence."
James Purefoy, Michael Kenneth Williams and Christina Hendricks all star in the show, which was filmed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, despite being set in 1980s fictional town of LaBorde in East Texas.
Hap and Leonard premieres March 4 on Amazon Prime in the UK, following its US premiere on SundanceTV on March 2 in the US.
