The 56-year-old judge and the former pro - who was cut from the BBC Latin and ballroom show in 2018 - regularly argued on air, and there is still bad blood despite attempts at mending their relationship.

In 2019, Brendan revealed they had a reunion at Craig's house, but it turns out things didn't go to plan.

Appearing on Kate Thornton's 'White Wine Question Time' podcast, Craig revealed: "I invited him around two years ago to my house. I hadn't spoken to him for years.

"I thought 'wouldn't it be nice to see Brendan, just to see if he's working...' "

After Kate called the judge a "b****", he laughed: "Oh God, this is going out to people isn't it?

"Anyway, he had an electric car. He was showing that off. We hated each other."

He admitted they "did lock horns" during 'Strictly' filming.

Elsewhere on the podcast, he was tasked with guessing whether or not the remarks he'd made about fellow stars were true.

One of the quotes sounded similar to something he'd said about Brendan, as Kate read: "I really dislike him, we don't see eye to eye. He brings up the most ridiculous arguments.

"Yes, we're all entitled to our opinions but some opinions suck and his generally do.”

Craig replied: "Well, I genuinely believe that as well, now I know who it's about.”

Meanwhile, Craig revealed this week he's struggling to hear his fellow judges because of the Perspex screen installed by 'Strictly' bosses to minimise the risk of COVID-19.

He said: "Oh my god, the Perspex is even worse now because it is even thicker and we are on separate desks. So I am straining to hear anything anyone says. We are so far separated."

However, Craig - known for his savage criticism - did acknowledge that not being able to hear new judge Anton Du Beke, 55, was a bit of a blessing.

He quipped: "I can’t hear a word he is saying, not a word. I love that."
