The 29-year-old actress is currently on maternity leave after giving birth to her 16-month-old daughter Delilah, and she simply "doesn't know" when she could reprise her role as Rosie Webster again.

Helen - who also has daughter Matilda, four, with Celtic footballer Scott Sinclair - said: "I miss being on 'Corrie', but at the moment I'm just so busy.

"I'm trying to work out when I can go back. I don't know when it'll be. It could be next year but I'm not sure."

Helen has also tipped her daughter Matilda to follow in her acting footsteps one day, and admits she is so busy because the youngster is into everything.

She added to the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "My little girl is amazing. You can tell she's going to be a little actress. But she's also very sporty like her dad.

"I'm getting her into everything - she goes horse riding, dancing, ballet.

"This is why I'm so busy because every single day she's got a lesson. That's what takes up all my time."

Just a few months ago, Helen admitted she is trying to "figure out" how she will make her 'Coronation Street' return.

The star - who portrayed Rosie from 2000-2012 and then returned to Weatherfield in 2017 before going on maternity leave - said: "I've always said I'll go back, but I'm still not sure when that will be. I'm a mum now so I have to put my children first.

"We have to be based in Scotland for Scott's job and the show is filmed in Manchester so I need to figure out how I'm going to make it work. The door is open for me to go back so I will return at some point."
