The 31-year-old comedian - who provides the voiceover on 'Love Island' - is to star in an hour-long special which will be captured over two performances in his hometown at Edinburgh King's Theatre on March 29 at 5pm and 7.30pm.

The special will feature Iain's new stand-up show 'Failing Upwards' which he is touring nationwide through 2020, in which he explores topics such as his inability to function in the most basic of public settings, social media pressure and an anecdote which involves his shoes being stolen.

As well as his job on 'Love Island', Iain hosts ITV2 series 'CelebAbility' and is a regular on Dave series 'Taskmaster', whilst in May 2018 he released his first book 'Not F*cking Ready To Adult' about millennial culture.

The Scottish comic's show - which will be available to stream next year - is the latest in a long line of comedy specials coming to Amazon Prime Video with recently launched programmes from Chris Ramsey, Ed Gamble, Flo & Joan and Paul Chowdhry and shows to follow from Rob Delaney and Jayde Adams early next year.

Despite finding success through his 'Love Island' job, Iain - who is in a relationship with TV presenter Laura Whitmore - has admitted he would never want to be a contestant on the ITV2 reality dating show because he wouldn't be able to chat up girls if he was sober.

He previously said: "You're only allowed like one beer or two beers an evening and if I'm near a pool and a hot space, I'm having alcohol. Also, they chat each other up sober. I don't feel there's enough made of that in the press. They really focus on stuff that doesn't matter. The front cover of every newspaper ever should be 'man chats up woman sober.' "
