Presented by Ashley Banjo and the members of Diversity, ITV have now announced A Night For The Emergency Services to air on the television network this Christmas. Featuring talented members of the emergency services alongside celebrity guests, the one-time special hopes to show the appreciation we all have for those who have given their all in a year of national tragedy.

Host Ashley Banjo commented: “Our emergency services are incredible. They do so much for us and it’s fantastic to not only put on a show for them, but to perform alongside some of the talented people within the emergency services to show the nation’s thanks and appreciation for the work they do. It’s going to be a great night!”

As mentioned, the show won’t only honour their dedication to the job and highlight some of the incredible work they’ve done, but some members of the emergency services will actually be taking to the stage to perform as members of an orchestra, choir, and even solo singers, dancers and a magician!

Special guests joining them include Leona Lewis, Michael Ball and Tokio Myers, with more to be announced ahead of the Christmas premiere.

This year, the emergency services have not only had to deal with the incredibly tragic Grenfell Tower fire, but with a number of terror attacks in both London and Manchester. Though the lives of many have been lost due to these horrific events, the emergency services across the UK have made sure that the numbers haven’t risen even higher. They’re an incredibly hard-working group of people and deserve the world.

Commissioned by Siobhan Greene for ITV, A Night For The Emergency Services will be produced by ITV Studios, with Nicholas Steinberg and Lee Connolly serving as executive producers and Ollie Bartlett directing. No broadcast date for the show has yet been announced.
