Simon Cowell has needed a family life "for a while", says Jahmene Douglas.
The 22-year-old singer believes the "stupidly lovely" music mogul will be a great father to his first child with Lauren Silverman - expected to be delivered next year.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "After meeting him I think he is like stupidly lovely and has an incredible aura around him and so I think he is going to be a great father.
"I met him at a charity ball after 'X Factor' and he was on American 'X Factor'.
"I think he has been needing it for a while - family or something - it's a lonely world."
As well as being known for finishing second on 'The X Factor' last year, Jahmene is known for his immaculately pruned locks, but admits he used to wish he had floppy hair like Justin Bieber once sported.
He added: "I don't have a hair routine. When I was growing up I used to be jealous of the whole Justin Bieber fringe and everything - how people just let their hair fall in place. But I just decided to keep it short.
"On TV it comes across straighter than it is."
