The former ‘X Factor’ star and his girlfriend Sophie Church welcomed a baby boy named Leo Oliver into the world on Friday (26.02.21) morning, with the couple confirming the news on social media the same evening.

Jake, 32, posted a picture of himself holding Leo and wrote in a lengthy caption: “ITS A BOY ..... meet Leo Oliver Quickenden. I am so overwhelmed right now, but first I want to say sophie you’re amazing and watching you during all this made me love you even more, I already know you’re an amazing mum and cannot wait to raise this beautiful little baby with you!! I also have such a mixture of feelings, I’m so so happy but also feel a little sadness my dad and brother are not around to meet my baby!! I promise to be a great dad, I will make mistakes but promise I won’t make the same one twice, I will learn on the job like most parents and will do everything in my best interest for you. The most beautiful thing in the world. All very tired but that’s obviously expected! Much love. The birth was beautiful and really quick!!! Well done @sophie__church (sic)”

And 27-year-old Sophie – who is already a parent to six-year old son Freddie from a previous relationship – posted a sweet picture of her newborn son below a sign which read “Hi I’m Leo, nice to meet you”.

She wrote alongside the image: “My sweet boy Leo Oliver Quickenden. Welcome to our family. I feel truly blessed that you are ours. And thanks @jakequickenden14 for being by my side, you were all the support I could have wanted & more. (sic)”

The happy news comes after it was reported last month that Jake has signed up for an MTV reality series documenting his life as a first-time father.

An insider said at the time: "Viewers will get to watch their favourite stars as they navigate pregnancy, right through to the baby's birth and parenthood.

"Jake is a great signing and he couldn't be more excited to have this whole experience caught on camera."
