The 44-year-old TV chef is on a mission to get the UK cooking up their favourite takeaway dishes in their own kitchens with his upcoming Channel 4 series 'Jamie's Home Deliver'.

The programme will see him travelling up and down the country to offer the public time-saving tips, money-saving tricks and kitchen gadget hacks, along with a range of easy delicious recipes.

Executive producer Samantha Beddoes said: "It will be really exciting to see Jamie getting out of his kitchen and into people's homes in order to understand what is really stopping so many of us from cooking.

"He'll be challenged to understand different points of view and create bespoke recipes, tips and hacks that can make a real change."

The show comes a month after the closure of the 'Friday Night Feast' star's beloved restaurant Fifteen Cornwall.

The Watergate Bay venue - which ceased to trade last month - was the latest in a string of closures in the celebrity chef's empire, including the Jamie's Italian chain, Fifteen in London, and Barbecoa.

The chef gave his name to the branch but has been owned and run by a charitable trust - which is also being closed down - since it opened 13 years ago.

He said at the time of the closure: "I am very surprised and saddened to learn that Fifteen Cornwall and the Cornwall Food Foundation have closed.

"Both organisations have always been run separately from us but the team has done an amazing job with the trainee programme, training over 200 chefs and reaching so many more along the way - so this is a huge blow. My thoughts are with everyone affected."
