The 'Coronation Street' actress has reportedly signed up for the celebrity skating show, which will return to ITV next year, in what will be her reality TV debut, sources told MailOnline.

News of the 39-year-old actress' involvement in the show comes after it was recently claimed former Westlife singer Brian McFadden will also be taking part.

A source said: "Brian is about to sign on the dotted line and is really looking forward to being part of the show."

Next year's line-up is also rumoured to include 'The Only Way is Essex' star Gemma Collins, 37, 'Big Brother's Big on the Side' presenter Rylan Clark-Neal, 29, and 20-year-old former 'Love Island' contestant Wes Nelson.

An insider recently said: "Wes has boundless energy and he's already displayed great rhythm on Love Island, so 'Dancing On Ice' execs thought he'd be a great choice for the series."

And a source said of Gemma: "Gemma was one of the first names they wanted to sign.

"They made her a big offer and are confident she will be one of the stars of the show this year.

"They think viewers will love to see her show off her dancing skills, particularly as 'Strictly' turned her down."

'Dancing on Ice' fans have speculated TV presenter Gaby Roslin or 'Emmerdale' actress Emma Atkins may have signed up for the show after the programme's official Twitter account shared a picture of a woman with blonde hair, but didn't reveal her name.

Jake Quickenden won this year's contest, which was the first series of the show since it was axed in 2014.
