Jessie J joked she may audition for the next series of 'The Voice'.

The 'Price Tag' hitmaker recently quit her role as a judge on the TV talent show so she could focus on her own music career, but she has suggested she might prank coach Sir Tom Jones by making a surprise return.

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: "I was the first one to pull out because I physically could not do it.

"But imagine if I auditioned next year! It would be me singing a Tom Jones song. I'd be like, come on Tom, you must know it's me."

If she doesn't manage to get on as a pretend hopeful, the 25-year-old singer recently admitted she would love to appear on the programme's next series as a guest performer.

She previously said: "I'll be a fan of the show and I'll watch it and I'll hopefully be a guest if I can go on and perform. But someone else is going to have to fill my big red chair."

Following Jessie's announcement, The Script front man Danny O'Donoghue also quit the show - but Tom and will.i.am are yet to confirm their stance either way.
