The 'Gavin & Stacey' star revealed earlier this week she's due to give birth to her and her actor husband James Thornton's fourth child this Christmas, and she is "still in shock".

Appearing on BBC's 'The One Show', the 44-year-old actress also suggested there's "something in the water" as she pointed out her BBC Radio Wales colleague Alex Jones is also expecting.

Speaking to Alex, she said: "I'm still in shock I think! Number four, I mean, well - I said to my husband we're not going to have any retirement, it's sort of going to be children to death.

"I think there's something in the water at BBC Radio Wales, because it's you, me, and Eve Myles all do the morning show."

During the interview, she also weighed in on a potential 'Gavin & Stacey' special after 2019's surprise comeback ended on a huge cliff-hanger.

However, Joanna - who plays Stacey Shipman on the BBC sitcom - insisted: "I don't know, I mean I genuinely didn't know we were going to do a special until they phoned, so I have absolutely no idea and I never ever ask them.

"So I suppose I'll just one day get a phone call or we'll never do it again."

Joanna revealed her pregnancy earlier this week and admitted the news was "a surprise".

She wrote on Instagram: "Well, this is a surprise!! Baby number 4 on the way! It’s going to be a busy Christmas! #pregnant #babyontheway @jamesthornton_ (sic)"

And former 'Emmerdale' star James wrote: "My wonderful wife @iamjoannapage is pregnant and doesn’t she look amazing!!! We are having baby number 4! #almostafiveasideteam #nosleep (sic)"

Joanna joked: "If we got 3 guinea pigs, another dog and a tortoise we’d be a full football team!"
