The 31-year-old comedian was asked to join the Latin and ballroom show by head judge Shirley Ballas, but the star admits he rejected the opportunity because "it's just not for me".

He told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "My mum really wants me to do 'Strictly'.

"I actually met Shirley Ballas recently and she was asking me about doing it, but it's just not for me."

The 'Joe Lycett's Got Your Back' star confessed he would prefer to make music videos than be dancing in them.

He said: "I've always loved music videos and have found them inspiring. When I listen to music I always think it would be fun to come up with ideas for a video - it's how my mind works.

"It's something I've put off for ages but want to get around to at some point."

The 'Great British Sewing Bee' host would love to make a video for music royalty Beyonce and Jay Z.

Joe added: "It would be someone ridiculous and cool like that."

It was announced last month Joe will be joining the judging panel for the fourth series of Comedy Central's 'Roast Battle UK'.

The TV show will feature a special guest for each episode joining host Jimmy Carr and regular judge Katherine Ryan.

It will see well-known comedians going head-to-head to ridicule and "roast" each other with the judges deciding who wins each battle.

Other guests will be Richard Ayoade, Big Narstie, Sara Pascoe and Noel Fielding.

Previous series saw stars including Tom Allen and Suzi Ruffell battle it out with brutal insults and trash-talk to impress the judges.

Announcing the exciting line-up, Louise Holmes, vice president and general manager of Comedy Central UK, said: "Series four will see the sharpest comedians on the circuit battle each other - with every jaw-dropping moment up for delightful scrutiny by our iconic judges."
