The 'Torchwood' actor is delighted to be stepping in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on the hit ITV daytime show, and he will co-host alongside The Saturdays singer for a week from April 15th.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper that the pair "have such a similar sense of humour and are naturals at live TV".

John said: "I had a blast on 'This Morning' back in January and I'm thrilled to be asked back."

This comes just days after it was revealed the 'Doctor Who' actor would be co-hosting the show with his fellow former 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' contestant Emily Atack.

She recently said: "I am absolutely over the moon to be joining 'This Morning' with my best mate John Barrowman over Easter.

"It's a dream come true to be presenting one of my favourite shows.

"I look forward to being on the iconic sofa. We're going to have so much fun."

John and Emily will team up on 12th April, and it has been speculated that the pair's stint on 'This Morning' could serve as great practice for their rumoured TV show.

Addressing the speculation, Emily said: "There are ideas floating around. At the moment everything is meetings and exciting opportunities."

Insiders believe it is a chance for the 'Inbetweeners' star to impress the channel and could "open much bigger doors".

Rochelle stepped in for Holly late last year to co-host 'This Morning' with Phillip while she was co-presenting 'I'm A Celebrity' with Declan Donnelly.
