Jonathan Ross is considering leaving his presenting career behind.

The ITV chat show host has been in the business for nearly 30 years, but is considering calling it a day next year to focus on family life.

The 52-year-old star has children Honey, 15, Harvey, 18, and Betty, 21, with wife Jane Goldman and he insisted he no longer has "anything else to prove".

He told the Daily Star Sunday newspaper: "I've signed up to do the show for another year and we're talking about time after that.

"But I need to see what my wife wants to do. I love doing this job but I have been presenting for more than 25 years.

"That's a long time. It's fun but I don't feel like I have anything else to prove."

The 'Jonathan Ross Show' host explained he wants to help his wife of 25 years focus on her own career as a film producer after she worked on movies like 'The Woman In Black'.

He said: "Jane's career is going through the roof in America and now our kids are getting older than school age we might want to travel more.

"We might want to live over in the US for a while. And I'd like to live in Japan for six months and work on my Japanese."
