Viewers of the ITV reality series voted on Friday (20.11.20) for the celebrity they’d like to see running the camp as the very first camp leader of the series, and on Sunday’s (22.11.20) episode, it was revealed BBC Radio 1 DJ Jordan would be taking on the important role.

The role means Jordan is allowed to sit in the newly set up throne, and doesn’t have to do any of the camp chores.

Speaking about his election, he said: “I’ve got to remember the public have voted for me, they either thought this will be a laugh, he can’t even tie his shoe laces or they thought lets see how he is in charge or maybe the Great British public has faith in me and think I can do it.”

Jordan chose Victoria Derbyshire to be his deputy, and added of her appointment: “Victoria is very decisive, got a good head on her shoulders and she’s intelligent, exactly what is needed as a deputy.”

Together, Jordan and Victoria then dished out camp chores to their other campmates, and have chosen to make the camp chefs Sir Mo Farah and Giovanna Fletcher, whilst Vernon Kay and Beverley Callard will be in charge of the laundry.

Maintenance chores fall to AJ Pritchard and Hollie Arnold, with Ruthie Henshall and Shane Richie taking care of the washing, and Jessica Plummer and Russell Watson tackling the cleaning.

Elsewhere, the ladies of the camp - Victoria, Giovanna, Beverley, Hollie, Ruthie, and Jessica - were tasked with taking on the Bushtucker Trial, after they lost the live trial on Friday.

The group managed to win 10 out of a possible 12 stars in the trial, which corresponded to meals for camp, where they were given pigeon for their dinner.
