The 30-year-old BBC Radio 1 DJ was voted by the public on Sunday (15.11.20) to take on the next Bushtucker Trial alongside actor Shane Richie, and in a preview clip ahead of Monday’s episode, he admits the content of the trial has left him the most scared he’s ever been.

Jordan and Shane will tackle a trial named ‘Viper Vault’, which will see them locked in a vault full of snakes as they try to win stars which represent meals for them and their campmates, and the preview clip shows the pair just before the trial begins.

In the video, Jordan looks visibly shaken as he says: “Genuinely, I don’t think I’ve ever been this scared in my entire life. Genuinely. I mean, I don’t like flying and I feel nervous before I get on an aeroplane but this …”

He then receives a supportive hug from Shane, before the show hosts, Ant and Dec, remind him that he doesn’t have to take part in the trial at all, but that will mean the camp will only have basic rations of rice and beans to eat for the day.

Fans will have to tune in tonight at 9pm on ITV to see if Jordan agrees to tackle the trial, and if he completes it without saying the dreaded words, “I’m a celebrity… get me out of here!”.

For Jordan, the trial comes after he also struggled to complete the first task set during the ITV show’s first episode on Sunday, which saw half the celebrities - including Jordan, Vernon Kay, Giovanna Fletcher, Jessica Plummer, and Victoria Derbyshire - abseil down a cliff to retrieve bags for them and their campmates.

Jordan was seen vomiting at the thought of tackling his fear of heights, but eventually made it down the cliff successfully.

This year, ‘I’m A Celebrity’ is taking place in Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales, after being relocated from Australia due to the coronavirus pandemic.
