The former 'Big Brother' star gave birth to her daughter Noa earlier this month, but she's endured a turbulent time since coming out of hospital.

The 40-year-old star wrote on Instagram: "After arriving 11 days early, it’s been...

"1 day since I last cried.

"2 days since her first bath.

"3 days since we drove to A&E with her.

"4 days since our first dog walk with Noa.

"5 days since we learnt how to use a sling.

"6 days since the doggies came home.

"7 days since we got home from hospital. (sic)"

Kate has been at home for a week and admitted that her early experiences of motherhood have been a "mixture of magical, traumatic, painful, tiring and informative".

She also described the last week as the "most overwhelming experience of [her] life".

Her post continued: "While Noa is beyond perfect, I don’t know if I’m coming or going. One minute I’m fine, the next someone asks how I’m doing and I burst into tears. As I type this and ask myself that very question - how are YOU doing it’s made me cry. I’ve cried so much since she was born.

"I’ve cried because I’m tired, I’m not feeling confident in what I’m doing or if either of us are doing it right, over horrendous, dark thoughts about losing my daughter, when our meditation playlist came on as it reminded me of when Noa was in NICU. (sic)"

Noa was recently taken into A&E after experiencing breathing difficulties and although she's now fine, Kate admitted that her early experiences of motherhood have been more dramatic than she'd imagined.

She wrote: "I see other new Mums on here looking glam, like the first two weeks are a breeze and I truly wish I could say it is but it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced. Hopefully it’ll get easier. I’ve not done many stories as I just haven’t had time or the energy. Sending positive vibes to any new Mums feeling the same. Know you’re not alone and it’s good to cry it out. X (sic)"
