The 40-year-old star has had a tough few months after being diagnosed with co-morbid post-traumatic stress (PTSD) disorder, which led to her checking into rehab, but the mother-of-five is determined to get her "life back on track", and wants to tell her side of the story in two new episodes.

She said in a statement: "Things have really hit rock bottom since the last series of 'My Crazy Life' a few months ago. But the only way is up.

"It's time to get my life back on track and be the best mum in the world for my kids. I'm excited to get back to doing what I love and to tell my side of the story."

Katie's first special episode, which is still being filmed, will air on November 12 on Quest Red, and a second episode will air in December.

Clare Laycock, head of channels at Quest Red, TLC and ID, said: "'Katie Price: My Crazy Life' really captured the hearts of audiences and I'm delighted to welcome her back to the channel.

"This series we're all rooting for Katie as she confronts some home truths and takes control - expect more challenges and heart-warming moments from one of the UK's most talked-about mums."

In October, Katie was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, and one month earlier she checked into rehab after being diagnosed with PTSD following a consultation with experts at The Priory as she struggled to deal with her mother Amy's diagnosis with a terminal lung condition, and the breakdown of her marriage to Kieran Hayler.

Katie - who has son Harvey, 16, with former boyfriend Dwight Yorke; Junior, 13, and 11-year-old Princess with ex Peter Andre; and Jett, five, and four-year-old Bunny with Kieran - is expected to discuss her difficult summer in the two special eps.
