The serial killer's (Moya Brady) storyline will come to an explosive end with some post-watershed action set to hit screens in January for the one-hour episode at 10pm on Channel 4.

'Hollyoaks' boss Bryan Kirkwood told Digital Spy: "Breda has a good few months left.

"She begins to unravel very soon, as those nearest to her - Sylver and Goldie (McQueen) - start to spot discrepancies in where she's been and what she's doing.

"That story will be huge in January and peak in a 10pm special, as 'Hollyoaks Later' is returning for a one-off episode. It'll be a great start to the New Year."

'Hollyoaks Later' previously aired between 2008 and 2013.

The soap shocked viewers recently when they originally thought Killer McQueen, which Breda has been dubbed, had claimed her latest victim in Tony Hutchinson and Nick Pickard admitted he was worried some fans might have been glad to see the back of his alter ego.

He said: "You never know how these things are going to go.

"There was outrage that Parry (Glasspool, who played Tony's son Harry Thompson) went, but I didn't know how people would react when they thought Tony was dead.

"Some might have thought, 'Thank God.' "

While it's currently unclear how long Breda's reign of terror will continue, Nick hopes the chef is the one to finally bring her down.

He said: "I hope Tony brings her to justice for the sake of his son Harry.

"I definitely want Tony to be the one who gets her in the end. But you'll have to wait and see..."
