The 'Celebrity Masterchef' winner surprised a young foodie fan, Daniel when she turned up to his family home as a part of Tesco Flame Academy and was "thrilled" she was able to put her cooking skills "into practice" and hopes her visit will inspire his relatives to be "barbecuing pros".

The former Pussycat Doll said: "I'm from Missouri and back home barbecuing isn't just popular, it's a way of life. I'm thrilled that I could put the skills I learned on 'Masterchef' into practice and surprise Daniel thanks to the Tesco Flame Academy.

She said: "The look on his face when he opened the door was priceless. I hope my cooking skills made it a day to remember and I hope the whole family will be barbecuing like pros from here on in."

The 33-year-old American beauty also gave her top tips for the perfect BBQ, including preparing the dessert "the day before".

She added: "Always plan ahead and keep it simple. Having the dessert done the day before is helpful when hosting a barbecue for large numbers. You want to enjoy the day rather than stress over having too much to do."
