Netflix have revealed four big names who'll be joining the second series of their hit original series Criminal, which returns to the streaming service on September 16th, 2020.

Kit Harington, Sophie Okonedo, Kunal Nayyar and Sharon Horgan will all be front-and-centre as four new cases are investigated by a returning team of police interviewers.

As was the case in the debut season, the "cat and mouse drama" will take place entirely within the confines of a police interview suite, as audiences do their best to piece together the truth behind the narrative being spun by each of the suspects.

Katherine Kelly returns to her role as Detective Inspector Natalie Hobbs, with Lee Ingleby and Rochenda Sandall also making a comeback as Tony Myserscough and Vanessa Warren respectively.

What's changed this time around however, is that it looks as though the UK version of the show is the only one that'll continue at present. With the first season, three international versions in France, Spain and Germany were also released, following different characters, suspects and stories.

David Tennant, Hayley Atwell and Youssef Kerkour also won't be returning after their guest appearances in the first season, where their characters were each accused of various crimes.
