The former 'Coronation Street' actress' son Archie was stillborn in 2009, and the star believes it will be helpful to others that the duchess spoke out last week about suffering a miscarriage because it may encourage people to do the same, which will help to "break the silence".

She said: "I think it's wonderful that the Duchess of Sussex chose to be open about experiencing a miscarriage earlier this year.

"When it comes to baby loss, miscarriage and still birth, I carry the belief that we need to lift the stigma and break the silence.

"And when someone like Meghan does that, it's only going to encourage others to do the same."

Kym has admitted opening up about her loss has helped her, and she described it as a "really important part of the grieving process".

Writing in her OK! magazine column, she added: "Since losing my son Archie, I've had a lot of people reaching out to talk to me about what they've gone through, and for me it is a big deal that people feel they can do that.

"When you lose a child you feel so lonely and empty and like the only person who is going through it.

"So when you finally have the chance to connect with people who have been through the same thing and are able to identify with you, that really helps."
