The former 'Coronation Street' star will look into cases of people who were killed in their homes by a person they trusted during her upcoming show, which will premiere on CRIME+INVESTIGATION with the first episode airing on November 2.

The programme will feature victims' friends and family, as well as experts who worked on the cases to walk through the investigation as they take the audience to key locations and talk about the twists and turns of the case.

Diana Carter - commissioning editor and head of talent at A+E Networks UK - previously said: "'Murder at My Door with Kym Marsh' tells these important stories from new perspectives and breathes life into what, for many, was a passing newspaper headline, but which has left scars and fissures for those involved which endure to this day."

Four episodes of the eight-part series will air this autumn with another quartet set to be scheduled for 2021.

The first episode will look at 17-year-old Ellie Gould who was brutally murdered by her boyfriend Thomas Griffiths in 2019.

After breaking up with Thomas, he went to Ellie’s home where he strangled her and then stabbed her 13 times before framing the scene to make it look like a suicide.

He hid bloody stained clothing in the woods, but was later discovered and led police to arrest the 17-year-old for Ellie’s murder.

Woodcut Media's Matthew Gordon said: "We are delighted to be teaming-up again with A+E Networks and Crime + Investigation to produce a series that highlights some truly harrowing cases these individuals could never have foreseen.

"Sensitivity surrounding the victims’ family and friends has also been paramount during filming in order to relay these stories in their raw form, to create compelling viewing but with integrity."

The four-part series Murder at my Door with Kym Marsh premieres on CRIME+INVESTIGATION with the first episode airing on Monday 2nd November at 9 pm. Episodes will be available for 30 days on catch up.
