The 50-year-old relationship expert shocked the nation last week when he announced that he was quitting the show in order to focus on a new dating app and his PR business, but his co-presenter thinks there's more to it and he needs to get "help."

Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: "All I know is that he obviously has issues. There's a lot going on in his personal life and I just hope that he gets the help he needs. Ultimately, what E4 and Lime Pictures want to do going forward it's out of my hands. They're the boss, they make the decisions. I just have to decide what's right for me but whatever happens I can guarantee it will be a very good series."

And, although the future of the show is now up in the air following Eden's shock departure, Nadia, 36, is hoping that bosses will commission another series because of its success.

She explained: "I'm still waiting for the official go ahead.

"I feel like we're in good stead. Last series was the best series ratings wise, we absolutely ruined 'Survival of the Fittest'. I don't see a reason why not, I'm hopeful."

This isn't the first time Nadia has implied she and Eden didn't get on as she hinted last month that getting rid of the dating guru would give the show - which saw celebrities such as Joey Essex, Charlotte Goodman, Gemma Collins and Talia Storm in search for love - a "refresh."

She said at the time: "There's an opportunity at the moment.

"We've done four really good series. I think now there's an opportunity to look at what works, and what maybe doesn't and refresh it.

"In terms of going into the next series, we could make it something that's phenomenal. We've got the backbone, we've got the ground and I hope we use this opportunity."
