EastEnders' bad boy Jake Stone will seduce alcoholic Lauren Branning.

The former binge drinker - played by Jamie Lomas - meets troubled teen Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) at a counselling session, but after sparks fly between the pair, a saucy affair kicks off and the determination to conquer their booze addiction soon plummets.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "We wanted Jake to really shake things up and he's wasted no time doing that. There are going to be real life fireworks over the next few months.

"He is going to ruffle some feathers."

Jamie - who is known for playing murderous Warren Fox in 'Hollyoaks' - has begun filming scenes for his arrival on Albert Square next month and is already looking forward to getting his teeth stuck into the role.

He said previously: "I'm over the moon to be joining the cast of 'EastEnders'. I have admired the show for many years and I can't wait to start working with such a strong cast of actors.

"Jake Stone is a great character to play and I'm really looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into the role."

The 33-year-old actor will be spending his weekdays in London filming the BBC soap, while his wife Kym Lomas - who he married last September and has two-year-old daughter Polly with - shoots rival soap 'Coronation Street', in which she plays Michelle Connor, in Manchester.
