Little Darlings will debut on Sky Kids next month, and is an adaptation of one of Wilson’s most popular books of the same name.

The show is set to star chart-topping artists, Lemar and Jamelia, with original music from Lemar to boot. The series has a modern-day fairytale atmosphere mixed into it, and has music right in the heart of it all.

Audiences will see the emotional results that occur when two families, who could not be any different from one another, are forced together.

Little Darlings is a mini-series that will span four episodes, and follows the story of 11-year-old Destiny (Janae Vito), who only wishes to meet her father; the problem, however, is that he is famous rock star Danny Kilman (Lemar), who has no idea she even exists.

Kate (Jamelia) and Destiny live in a flat in Birmingham, far away from the Kilman mansion, a luxurious and unique home.

However, Destiny is over the moon when her mother finally agrees that it’s time for her to meet her dad.

Everything changes, however, when the families meet in the dead of night; there seems to be something still there between Kate and Danny, and Destiny finds a forever friend in hew new sister, Sunset.

Through their immediate and living connection, plus their adoration of music, Destiny and  Sunset see each other in a way that no one else does, bringing out the best parts of each other for the whole world to see.

Alongside the mini-series, Sky Kids will also release a partner series on February 11th, 2022, titled On Tour: Little Darlings filmed by sisters Destiny and Sunset from a luxury tour bus whilst on tour with their dad.

Lemar said: “I’m so excited to be a part of Little Darlings. Sky Kids and the team at Kindle have been amazing and getting to work alongside great crew, cast members, and friends has been a real breath of fresh air. I love what this show represents… something positive with a bit of humour for the whole family!”

Jamelia added: “The opportunity to work with such brilliant up-and-coming talent, both on and off screen, has been a dream – not to mention reuniting with Lemar to perform again! I’m so thrilled to be a part of this funny, vibrant and important show.”

Little Darlings will be available from February 11th, 2022 on Sky Kids and streaming service NOW.
