The former 'Love Island' star swore off men via a couple of Twitter posts in July - but Amber has now admitted she hadn't planned to put such a message on social media.

Her tweet read: "Switching teams was the best decision I made in my life."

She later added: "Watching men makes me feel ill. I couldn't put myself through it again."

Amber, 25, has now confirmed that her post was an "off-the-cuff moment".

Speaking on FUBAR Radio's 'Access All Areas', she explained: "Accidentally, I remember looking at [the tweet] and thinking s***, what have I said.

"Like a lot of my friends were like, 'If you were gonna do it any way, that's the typical way that you would do that'. Normally people have these lovely, beautiful stories and lovely, beautiful, real Instagram posts, like just lush. I've put switching teams on a tweet and that's how I came out."

Amber won 'Love Island' alongside Greg O'Shea in 2019.

However, their romance only lasted two weeks outside of the villa, and Amber is now much more particular about who she dates.

She shared: "I find it really difficult, and I can't, like, I really don't know, like, the reason behind it. But I just, yeah, I'm very picky now. And like, very like attuned to what I like and what I don't like so I don't know if it's that's part of the reason."

Amber also confessed to being "way harsher" on guys than girls.

She explained: "I would hate if someone is on Instagram too much, like wanting to take pictures of everything. This is for a guy, though, I don't have that many icks when it comes to girls. But for guys, I'm way harsher."
