Rumours have been rife that the former 'Bad Girls' star could make a shock return to the BBC One soap as her character Tina Carter, who was seemingly killed off by evil Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) over Christmas, but the 46-year-old actress has insisted she is working elsewhere and is loving her "new life".

She wrote on Instagram: "Worked with a complete icon today! Bum cheeks firmly clenched! Def needing the tequila tonight! @aquarivatequila

"Love my new life. Oh and those people banging on about me going back to EastEnders sorry guys wrong channel. (sic)"

Luisa's comments come just days after she inadvertently fuelled fan speculation that Tina could in fact be alive, by revealing she had gone to "work" last week.

She wrote on Instagram: "Got dressed. Put makeup on. Went to work. Yippee!!! (sic)"

Luisa's former 'EastEnders' co-star Kellie Bright (Linda Carter) commented with a love heart emoji.

The star is yet to reveal her latest project, but following Tina's exit she admitted it was a "bittersweet" departure from 'EastEnders'.

She said: "It's a little bit bittersweet because Tina is a character I have invested a lot in and a character that I really love, so to see that end is quite sad.

"When you do an acting job you usually know the ending, this is the only job where you don't really know the ending, it's quite a strange experience."
