There's not long to go until Making A Murderer returns to Netflix for Part 2 of a story that has taken the world by storm. With just under two weeks until we get to hear from the old and new faces involved in the cases of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey, the streaming service have revealed a first look trailer for the batch of new episodes, which you can check out below:

The teaser introduces us to Avery's new post-conviction lawyer Kathleen Zellner: a woman famous for overturning wrongful convictions, and somebody who is intent on making sure she gets Avery out of jail.

Emmy Award-winning filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos return to follow Zellner's journey, as she tirelessly works the case and uncovers evidence even she didn't see coming, bringing new possibilities to the goings on surrounding Teresa Halbach and her murder, as well as potential reasons the jury convicted Avery all those years ago.

Dassey's post-conviction lawyers Laura Nirider and Steven Drizin are also introduced in the second season: a pair who are working with Northwestern University's Centre on Wrongful Convictions of Youth, documenting their battle in federal court to prove Dassey's confession was involuntary. This is a fight that could take the group all the way up to the US Supreme Court.

With Ricciardi and Demos as executive producers, writers and directors, Making A Murderer: Part 2 is a Synthesis Films Production, set for release on Netflix on Friday, October 19, 2018.
