Mel B thinks her "bubble butt" gave away her identity on 'The Masked Singer'.

The Spice Girls star was unmasked as The Seahorse on the ITV show over the weekend and she now thinks her derriere was to blame for rumbling who she was.

She said: "My bubble butt gave it away. And the way that I was moving gave it away too.

"I mean, I move like how I move. So when the nerves hit, even though you’re not meant to move like yourself, you do. It’s like character acting, like method acting."

And things were so secretive backstage that Mel couldn't even talk to the show's producer, who she knew as he worked with her and her bandmates as part of the Spice Girls tour.

She added: "I kept being told to be quiet. One of the hardest things was the main producer that greets you on stage and tells you where to go was part of our Spice Girls tour. I was looking at him thinking he’s absolutely no idea. I wanted to go, 'Hey, how are you? How’s the family? How’s the kids?' But you can't!"

And Mel revealed each celebrity is forced to wear all black, including gloves, and only the one person designated to them is able to speak to them.

She shared: "You have to wear a balaclava then a massive visor, then a hoodie that says, ‘Do not speak to me’. You have to wear all black and wear gloves so no part of your skin is ever on show and this is just for a rehearsal! No one can talk, you have your designated person assigned to you and if you want some water or need to go to the bathroom you have to whisper to your person that’s stood beside you. It’s weird."

Mel revealed her bandmates Emma Bunton and Geri Horner rumbled her straight away.

She told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "I had Emma going, ‘I knew it was you’ and Geri was like ‘You kept that a secret.'"
