Natasha Kaplinsky approves of Susanna Reid.

The 41-year-old newsreader, who is friends with the 'Good Morning Britain' host, says the new ITV breakfast show "looks great" and she is pleased with her pal's work so far.

She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It looks great so far. Although I was getting two children dressed, and washing my hair, and feeding the dogs and cats at the time!"

Like Susanna, Natasha is a former 'BBC Breakfast' host and won the very first series of 'Strictly Come Dancing' in 2004.

She added: "I know Susanna and went to see her in the 'Strictly' final because it was 10 years since I won. She seemed to be having a ball and really enjoying it."

Natasha is currently lending her support to Save the Children's Live Below the Line campaign, which challenges people to experience living in poverty by surviving on just £1 a day.

The brunette beauty admits it's been a struggle to buy enough food for her week living below the line.

She explained: "The shocking thing is how little you can buy for £5 to last 5 days. We're so used to purchasing whatever we want or popping out and getting a cappuccino.

"For five pounds I bought two sweet potatoes, two onions, stock, a tiny bit of salt, a bag of lentils and a bag of rice, though I can only eat a fifth of it. It's the kind of thing you'd throw together for one meal, not the whole week."
