Content for this year (2021) is at a perhaps surprising high, with Netflix putting a vast array of films and shows on its streaming service, along with other platforms that are pushing the boat out with content. It seems that Apple TV is kicking it up a notch, too.

Apple TV+ is available on the Apple TV app in over 100 countries and regions, over 1 billion screens including Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, and more. The platform is hosts to shows such as Mr. Corman and Truth Be Told. Potential user can experience a 7-day free trial before signing up.

Foundation, a show based off a book trilogy of the same name written by Isaac Asimov, is finally underway and has its first trailer.

The trailer invites viewers to embark on an exciting and emotional adventure across the galaxy to follow a group of rouges, who discover that in order to save the Galactic Empire from total obliteration, they must disobey it.

Talented showrunner and executive producer Davis S. Goyer (Batman Begins, Man of Steel), the very first series of Foundation will hit Apple TV+ exclusively in September this year; two episodes will be available immediately, then followed by weekly episodes.

When the renowned Dr. Hari Seldon (Jared Harris) foretells the imminent fall of the Empire, he and a loyal team of followers journey to the far ends of the galaxy to establish The Foundation, in an effort to rebuild and conserve the future of civilisation.

Driven to anger by Hari’s somewhat outlandish claims, the ruling Cleons (emperor clones) fear that their unchallenged power may be coming to an end, as they are forced to see the possible reality of losing their legacy forever.

The trailer showcases stunning visuals and a dedicated cast, along with a highly-intriguing storyline that will no doubt encapsulate audiences from the very beginning. We also see intense battles and challenges that stand between the rebellious group and their chance at freedom.

Foundation boasts an internationally talented cast, and joining Harris is Lee Pace, rising star Lou Llobell, Leah Harvey, Laura Birn, Terrence Mann, Cassian Bilton, and Alfred Enoch.

This upcoming adaptation of the beloved book series tells the stories of four significant individuals, who go beyond time and space while they overcome death, mistrust, and relationship blunders that will regulate humanity’s fate.

Foundation will release onto Apple TV+ on September 24th, 2021; with episodes releasing every Friday.
