As we wait to hear what happens next to Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey of Netflix original true crime show Making a Murderer, many of us are looking for a new true crime fix. Fortunately, that seems to be coming from the streaming service just a little later this month, with the premiere of six-episode docuseries The Innocent Man.

This is a story that has already gained national attention following the publication of John Grisham's non-fiction book, The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town. Now, the case of two murders in Ada, Oklahoma back in the 1980s is to be explored once more, as well as the controversial chain of events that followed the killings.

Today (December 3), Netflix have unveiled a first-look trailer at the series, offering a glimpse at some of the chaos that took place following the killings in 1982 and 1984. You can check out the teaser below:

With evidence that has many questioning if the right people were charged, and if the killer of these two women could actually still be out in the world, this looks like it could be another show that gets the world talking.

Tommy Ward, Karl Fontenot, Ron Williamson and Dennis Fritz were all charged with murder following the deaths of Debbie Carter and Denice Haraway, but the latter two were exonerated in 1999 following the unearthing of new DNA evidence. Williamson was just five days away from being executed at the time of his release, after serving 11 years on Death Row. Ward and Fontenot continue to serve life sentences, but maintain that they are innocent.
