13 episodes will be included in the third season, which picks up right after Claire (Caitriona Balfe) travels through the stones, going back to her life in 1948.

Pregnant, she's struggling with the fallout of her re-appearance and its effect on the marriage to her first husband Frank (Tobias Menzies).

Back in the 18th century, Jamie (Sam Heughan) is suffering from the loss of his love, but as the years pass by the two decide to try and make a life away from one another, despite the haunting memories of their lost romance

New hope comes to Claire - along with new doubt - when it's discovered she may be able to return to Jamie, but with the pair separated not only by continents, but centuries, mystery and adventure stands in their way.

Outlander seasons 1-2 are available to stream now on Amazon Prime Video.
