The 'Good Morning Britain' co-host has purchased a dome-like archipod - which are priced at £15,000 plus VAT and delivery costs - for his garden because he has been left "sick and tired" of his female family members "taking over" his office and bathroom.

Speaking on 'GMB' today (17.11.20), he said: "It's a man cave. That goes in the back of the garden.

"I've got three women in my house and I'm sick and tired of the encroachment into all male areas of my house.

"Everything has been taken over. My bathroom, my office, everything.

"So I've made a stand. I'm now having a large man cave put in the garden.

"So I will be in there most of the day, every day.

"They're called archipods. They're just cool. They're very-well insulated. Men need a man cave."

The main archipod includes a 3.1m curved desk, and a hinged door, and there is also a £19,000 fatpod, which features a larger curved desk.

Piers' planned archipod - which features a 1m diameter hinged roof dome, and a double glazed porthole window - is also said to feature "high levels of acoustic and thermal insulation".

Planning permission paperwork obtained by The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column reads: "The proposed archipod garden structure is intended to provide a quiet, remote working space for Mr Morgan that is separate from the house.

"The pod has high levels of acoustic and thermal insulation together with generous natural light."
