The handsome professional - who joined the Ballroom and Latin programme in 2010 - is reportedly on the top of bosses' "wish list" to take part in Ireland's 'Dancing with the Stars' early next year.

A source told the RadioTimes.com: "Show bosses are scouting out dancers and Robin is top of their wish list. He's a fan favourite. Everyone loves him. Who knows? He could be the Anton [du Beke] of Ireland."

However, bosses of 'DWTS' may need to slap down a hefty sum of cash if they want to snag Robin for the forthcoming Irish version because he may have already agreed to take part in this year's 'SCD'.

The professional line up for the new series, which will hit television screens next month, is being kept tightly under wraps for the time being.

The 36-year-old professional dancer - who is dating The X Factor's Marcus Collins - first joined 'Strictly Come Dancing' six years ago.

He's partnered the likes of Patsy Kensit, Anita Dobson, Lisa Riley and Deborah Meaden on the show in the past but was forced to pull out in 2014 when he injured his back.

He then announced a year later that he was leaving 'Strictly Come Dancing' but he would "love" the show for the rest of his life.

He made a brief appearance later that year when he took part in the festive special.
