Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes don't have much time for "love" now she's doing 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The 'This Morning' presenter has spent six days a week training for the ballroom and latin show since the middle of last month and has admitted, although he's being very supportive of her recent venture, they haven't had much alone time because she leaves the house early in the morning and doesn't get home until late.

Speaking on 'Loose Women' on Monday (02.10.17), she said: "All my time is focused on 'Strictly'. I have a day off on Sunday. We have no time for dating. We do actually go out for dinner or lunch.

"I have to say, Eamonn is doing a lot of this in tongue-in-cheek - he's so supportive. He's just there, asking me what I need and so he booked Sunday lunch. He has a gin and tonic and a bowl of ice for my feet, so he's been very supportive. Not much time for love. Not time for that."

And the 57-year-old Irish journalist is struggling so much without his spouse - who he married in 2010 - that he's actually bought a cardboard cut out of her so that he can still feel like she's with him when he's eating dinner.

Ruth, 57, explained: "He's even bought a cardboard cut out of me. He calls himself a 'Strictly Come Dancing' widow ... I said to him: 'Excuse me, do you remember when you went into the jungle - you know when he went on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' the spin-off show - not one person rung me and said: "Can I bring a casserole round, Ruth?" Nobody does that to women." It's like, I've disappeared and he's going to die."

Ruth has been putting so much energy into her training with her professional dance partner Anton du Beke that she actually pulled her hamstring before the live show last weekend and she's still suffering with the injury now.

Ruth added: "My hamstring is not great, it's still strapped up."
