The 55-year-old star's alter-ego Sally Metcalfe faces possible jail time after being framed for fraud by dicey Duncan Radfield (Nicholas Gleaves), but Dynevor is looking forward to seeing how her character will react if she does end up behind bars.

Asked how she feels about Sally possibly ending up in prison, she replied: "Well actually I'm really excited about seeing her out of her comfort zone and how it will affect her.

"She will no doubt make some enemies and even on remand she is wanting to make a difference, Sally is never going to sit back and do nothing!

"She will try and make something good come out of the worst possible scenario."

Sally has enjoyed the plot so much she ranks it among one her favourite every storylines in her 32 years of portraying the character.

She added: "I've really, really enjoyed this story so much. It's very different because it's not a romance it's not an affair, it's different to anything else I've done, I've loved working with new people too, such as Nick who plays Duncan, Charlie and Sterling. They are all wonderful, and of course Brooke, Connie and Joe.

"I just feel surrounded by just gorgeous people and it's a great story. This might be up with there with one of my favourite storylines in my time here."

Sally recently hinted her character will ask Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) for advice if she faces jail time.

Asked if Sally could turn to Gail - who was previously jailed after being accused of killing Joe McIntyre (Reece Dinsdale) - the actress told BANG Showbiz: "That's a really good question because I really hope so, I'd love some more stuff with Gail.

"There was a scene that Helen and I had ages ago with some drugs and I say, 'Well you've got to give them back to the police because I'm middle class, I can't go to jail, I wouldn't get a decent roll of toilet paper!'

"I really want to play that scene again because it was a really lovely moment where she was like, 'Oh yeah, you couldn't go to jail.'

"I would love some more scenes with Gail, she'd be able to tell her a few things, wouldn't she?"
