'The Only Way is Essex' star James Lock claims he "doesn't fancy" Sam Faiers.
The 26-year-old lothario has caused a stir on the ITV show recently after he invited the blonde beauty out on a date just a week after she split from her former fiancé Joey Essex. However, the husky-voiced hunk insists he won't be making a move on Sam anytime soon.
Speaking in an interview with Star magazine, he said: "I don't fancy her [Sam], but I think she's a lovely girl. There's nothing in it."
James admits he finds his co-star "attractive" but has slammed the rumours that he was getting cosy with her to aggravate Joey.
He explained: "The whole thing with us got blown out of proportion. I've been friends with Sam for five years. Joey got the wrong end of the stick- I wanted to take her out to cheer her up. It wasn't a date, I wanted to go out as a group. She's a very attractive girl."
The reality star doesn't believe Joey meant to be nasty when he hissed insults at him, but hopes the situation will settle down soon.
"Naturally he's going to be a bit p****d off, he made a few jibes behind my back - calling me an ice-cream and frog eyes- but that was all in the heat of the moment. It's understandable they've just broken up, so I'm not too bothered."
